William Walker

October 18th, 1937 to March 4th, 2008
William R. Walker, 70 of Port Huron went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in Mercy Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1937 in Port Huron and had been a life long area resident. He married the former Shirley A. Kimball at Gratiot Park United Methodist Church in 1955. Bill attended St. Stephen Schools. He retired from Acheson Colloids Company after many years of employment. Bill collected coins, stamps, old fashion cars and enjoyed bowling. He is survived by his wife Shirley; daughters, Pam Walker of Port Huron and Penny (David) Jacobs of Port Huron; sons, William "Bill" (Tamberly) Walker of Baldwin, MI and Robby (Nancy) Walker of Ecorse, MI; grandchildren, Zak Altaf, Bobbie Jacobs, Alisha Jacobs, William Walker, III, Amanda Walker, Jamie Cluck, Kimberley Cluck, David Cluck, Andrew Walker and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Mary Jahn and his brother Harry Walker. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. George Askar will officiate. Visiting hours are 2-4 and 7-9pm Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening. Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
