Rosemary M. Conner-Cleaver, 78, of St. Clair, died Friday, April, 25, 2014 in Blue Water Hospice House, Marysville.
She was born November 25, 1935 in Port Huron, the daughter of the late Francis E and Katherine E. (Jarvis) Smith. She married Edward A, “Ned” Conner May 12, 1955 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church. He died on October 9, 1984. She married J. Fred Cleaver on October 15, 1988 in St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was a 1953 graduate of Port Huron High School, a member of St, Joseph Catholic Church and Port Huron Golf Club. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed downhill skiing and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, J. Fred Cleaver of St. Clair; daughter, Lynne Ann and Jody Huggins of Farmington Hills, son, Doug and Wendy Conner of Marysville, son, Greg and Val Cleaver of Port Huron, son, Doug and Lynn Cleaver of Sevierville, TN and daughter, Ann and Mike Green of Marysville; grandchildren, Jessica, Brent, Rachelle, Ashley, Michael, Ally, Lindsey, Madison, Ebone, Doug Jr. and Conner Rae; and a brother, R. Dennis Smith of Kimball. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis C. “Toad” Smith and Lawrence Smith.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Monday in the church. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church Chorale or the Port Huron Salvation Army.
