Clarence Fair

January 8th, 1920 to October 30th, 2014
Clarence B. Fair, 94, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, October 30, 2014, surrounded by his family, in Blue Water Hospice Home, after a short illness.

He was born January 8, 1920 in Deckerville, MI. He married Louise MacDonald in June of 1942 in Port Huron. She died on October 12, 2005.

Clarence retired as vice president and sales manager from London’s Dairy after 42 years. After retirement he worked for 12 years as a sales representative for Birchwood Estates. He was an active member of Colonial Woods Missionary Church and served on numerous church boards.

Mr. Fair was a meticulous gardener and enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and making a great business deal. Clarence was the example of what a Godly husband, father and papa looked like. He made such an impact on everyone that knew him. He will be missed by all.

He is survived by two sons, Dave (Debbie) Fair and Larry (Sharon) Fair; his grandchildren, Chuck Fair (Kim), Greg, Steve (Mindy) Fair and Kristen (Steve) Ainsworth; his step-grandchildren, Ryan, Garrison, Evan and Tanner Schoettle; great-grandchildren, Ryan Fair, Taylor and Brennan Ainsworth; a sister, Beulah Reynolds; and special friend, Mary Rivers. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Bill Fair and his sister, Velma Birdsall,

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Colonial Woods Missionary Church. Pastor Phil Whetstone will officiate.

Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.at the church.

Memorials may be made to Colonial Woods Missionary Church.
