Helen Mosco

Helen Mosco, 100, of Port Huron, formerly of Huntington, VA, died Sunday, October 4, 2015.

She was born June 10, 1915 in Trenton, NJ to the late William and Mary Bodgen. She married Sam Mosco on December 9, 1935 in Clinton, OH. They lived in Huntington, VA for many years. He preceded her in death in 1968. Helen moved to Port Huron in May of 2004.

Helen was employed as a nurse aide at St. Mary’s Hospital for 15 years. She raised and sold birds for many years.

Mrs. Mosco had a beautiful smile and was always happy. She loved her animals, Pepper Sue, Sally and Kitty.

She is survived by her sister, Lillian Senyk of Port Huron; niece and caregiver, Teresa (Bill) Davis, nieces and nephews, Patti (Ed) King, Debbie Senyk and Cheryl Senyk, all of Port Huron, William (Nada) Bogden and Tom (Mary) Bogden both of Akron, OH and Bonnie Smith of Indiana; special friends, Aleta Day and Joe Reddy of Port Huron, Tina and Steve Stocker of Marysville and Sr. Mary Edwards of Huntington, WV; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Jacob Bogden, Carl Bogden, Frank Tarcsak and Margaret Tarcsak, brother-in-law, Donald Senyk, nephews, Danny and Ricky Senyk, and niece, Frances.

Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service in the church.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church or to the family.
