Lori Lynne Solinsky

December 14th, 1963 to October 11th, 2015
Lori Lynne Solinsky, 51, of Galena, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, October 11, 2015 with her family by her side.

She was born in Port Huron on December 14, 1963, the daughter of Nellanne Sue (Warren) Morgan of Fort Gratiot and Raymond Solinsky of Venice, Florida.

Lori graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1982. She attended St. Clair County Community College and Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. She graduated with a degree in Business and Marketing. After graduation, she worked for Abbott Laboratories as a Sales Rep for pharmaceutical drugs.

On January 30, 1993 she married Jeffery William Cain on a cruise ship in San Diego Bay, California. Together they celebrated 22 years together as husband and wife and brought beautiful twin daughters into the world, Sydney Nicole and Samantha Marie.

Lori enjoyed golfing, snow and water skiing, and jogging. She loved all animals, especially dogs and cats and donated items to the local humane society. Lori enjoyed time spent with family and friends cooking and hosting dinner parties at her home. She was putting together a cookbook with recipes of meals she liked, including recipes of her friends.

She was an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Sunbury, Ohio. She served as a PSR (Parish School of Religion) teacher and served on many committees in her church.

In addition to her parents, she will be missed by her husband, Jeff and their twin daughters, Sydney and Samantha; brother, Michael Solinsky of Port Huron; sister, Pam (Jeff) Zimmer of Lakeport; nieces, Katie Solinsky and Amy & Alexis Zimmer; nephew and godchild, Austin Zimmer; Aunt Sally & Uncle Bob Zauner of Fort Gratiot, Aunt Janet & Uncle Dale Roat of Lewiston, NY; and many cousins and close friends. Lori was preceded in death by her step father, Bob Morgan.

A Memorial Catholic Mass will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Sunbury, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Community of Christ Church, 4920 Lapeer Road, Kimball. Lori’s brother, Michael Solinsky, will officiate.
