Joseph P. Chevalier, 93, died

peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, August 6, 2009.

He was born November 17, 1915 in

Detroit, MI. He married Rosemary Beaubien. She died May 2, 1974.

He later married Mary Richmond. She preceded him in death on May 20,

2004.

Joe retired from Port Huron Sulfite

Company. He was also a retired locksmith. He was a member of the

Knights of Columbus Council 521 and a former member and usher at St.

Stephens Church in Port Huron.

Joe is survived by his children,

Theresa (Ron) Gaudet, John (Linda) Chevalier, Veronica (Charles)

Aldrich, Annette (Russell) Jackson and Evette Fink; step-son, Fran

(Liz) Richmond; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother,

Raymond; sisters, Stella and Eva and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his

son Joseph and son-in-law, Terry Fink.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at

St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 28049 School Section Road,

Richmond, MI 48062. Rev. Steven McDonald will officiate. Burial

will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Port Huron.

Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Sunday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the

service time Monday at church.

Memorial may be made to St. Joseph's

Catholic Church, Richmond.
