Alex "Joe" Lozano

July 4th, 1945 to July 17th, 2016

Alex “Joe” Lozano, 71, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly on July 17, 2016.

He was born July 4, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Ralph and Theresa (Vargo) Lozano.

Joe was a graduate of St. Stephen High School where he was very active in sports. He attended Port Huron Junior College and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his son, Joe Lozano; grandsons, Nicolas and John Lozano; sisters, Josephine (J.D.) Medlen, Virginia (David) Radike, Mary Anderson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Martin J. Lozano and sister, K. Elaine Dufresne.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visiting from 11 a.m. until the service time. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.

Military honors will be conducted under auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to the Society of St. Vincent dePaul or the Blue Water Humane Society.
