Isabella Toles

Isabella Katherine Toles, 86, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

She was born February 20, 1923 in Port Huron. She Married Edward F. Toles on December 18, 1942 in Port Huron. He died August 12, 1981.

Isabelle attended Port Huron Business College after graduating from High School. She then worked for for Bill Ryan. She later was employed by the Port Huron Area School District until her retirement in 1988.

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She was an avid bridge player. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events and also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her faithful companion, Lolly.

Isabelle is survived by her daughters, Judith (Donald) Corby of Lexington and Jacklyn (Timothy) Sullivan of Vista, CA; grandchildren, Tessa and Dustin Corby, Donald Corby Jr, Shannon and Brandie Sullivan, Brittany Fraser (Chris) Fayard and Chace Fraser; sister, Betty Burgess of Ft. Gratiot and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Janet Toles Fraser and sisters, Lillian Thornton and Barbara Crowe.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Our Savior Lutheran Church. The Rev. Donald R. Doerzbacher will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dustin Corby, Donald Corby Jr, Chace Fraser, Shannon Sullivan, Matt Crowe and Tom Thornton.

Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the service time Monday at church.
