Mary Selepack

August 15th, 1909 to April 2nd, 2010




Mary Selepack, 100, of Port Huron, Michigan passed into eternal life on April 2, 2010 at the home of her son & daughter-in-law after a long illness. She was born in Arcadia, PA on August 15, 1909 to Michael and Anna Bededa. On February 14, 1931 she married Michael Selepack in New York City, NY. She lived in Port Huron most of her life and acted as her husband's secretary for his window business as well as homemaker. She loved to cook, crochet and tend her garden. Mary is survived by her two children, daughter Patricia (Wm. T) Fischer of Sun City, AZ and son Michael (Monna) Selepack of Port Huron; 7 grandchildren, Theresa Messenger of Phoenix, AZ; R. Lee (Na Mi) Messenger of Moreno Valley, CA: Joseph (Toni) Messenger of North Carolina: Kristopher (Jennifer) Messenger of Mt. Juliet, TN; Mary (Don) Bartee, Michael J. Selepack and fiance', Angela Vokes of Port Huron; and Matthew (Elizabeth) Selepack of Orlando, FL; fifteen great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Michael in 1996; three sisters, Ann Cowell, Helen Alexander and Sue Gray: one brother Michael Bededa and two great grandchildren, Scott and Sean Koehler. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian Cokonougher will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the Mass of Resurrection. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church and Blue Water Hospice.
