Jane M Madsen

Jane Marie Madsen, 96, of Port Huron, died Friday, September 1, 2017.

She was born February 19, 1921 in Hamtramck to the late Aleksander and Eva Sulikowski.

Jane was a graduate of Hamtramck High School and the Detroit Commercial College. She retired from the State of Michigan as an executive secretary in 1988. She was also a long time member of the Y.M.C.A. and the Council on Aging.

She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Borkowski and Susan (John) Howard; grandchildren, Andre` (Elisha) LaFleche, Michelle (Tadd) Klettner, Jennifer (Matt) Ireland, Jeana (Jay) Wofford, Richard (Laura) LaFleche, Erin (Kevin) Graham, Tracy (Russell) Harris, Travis LaFleche (Tiffany Hewitt), Jonathan (Christy) Borkowski, Lesley (Luke) Barber, Jacob Howard, Jessica (Crandall) Dyment and Willow Howard; several great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Terry Snay; sister-in-law, Regina Sulikowski; and her canine companion, Xavier.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter LaFleche, John Heeckt and Carl Madsen; sons, Daniel and Raymond LaFleche; and brothers, Edmund, Henry and John Sulikowski.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation from 1:00 pm. Deacon John Connors will officiate.

The family requests memorials be made to the D.A.V Chapter #12.
