Madeline L Graw

Madeline Lucille (Crimmins) Graw, 90, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

She was born September 5, 1922 in Port Huron to the late Leo and Lucille Crimmins. She married James C. Graw on September 6, 1948. He died on May 6, 1998, after 49 years of marriage.

Madeline was graduated from St. Stephens Catholic High School in 1940. She earned her R.N. degree from St. Joseph - Mercy of Detroit and proudly served her beloved country as a WAV during World War II. She was a founding member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Port Huron, and after raising her eight children she became active in the St. Clair County Right to Life Campaign.

During Madeline’s 12-year stay at the Sanctuary at Mercy Village, she helped to welcome new residents and will be fondly remembered.

She is survived by her children, Rosemarie (Tim) Boos, Lawrence Graw, Christopher (Cindy) Graw, Lucy (Fred) Phare, Gerard Graw, Julianne Desiderata and Mary (David) Ayton; three sisters, Patricia Banks, Joan Cribbins and Mary Crimmins; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; in-laws Gerald (Betty) Graw, Joan Vogel and Janet Graw; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, David, and two sisters, Margaret and Rosemary.

Funeral Mass will held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8th at The Sanctuary at Mercy Village. Father Acervo will officiate.
