Frank Koob

Jeddo- Frank Otto Koob, 55, of Jeddo went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 25, 2005 in his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 3, 1950 in Pigeon, Michigan. Frank married Dian L. Galbraith on February 11, 1998 in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Caro High School in 1969 and from automotive trade school in Chicago. He worked at many dealerships in the area and most recently at the Port Huron Golf Club maintenance department. Frank was a member of the Port Huron Museum and the T.A.M.P. Club (post card collecting). He was an avid Nascar fan, he enjoyed woodworking and thumb area railroad history. He was an all around handy man. Frank is survived by his wife, Dian; mother, June E. Koob of Ft. Gratiot; brother, Charles R. (Denise) Koob of Ft. Gratiot; sister, Charlene (Gunter) Sinne of Marysville and several nieces and nephews. Mother-in-law Rhea L. Galbraith of Jeddo; brother-in-law, John (Marge) Galbraith of Smiths Creek; sister-in-law, Nancy (Jerry) Barrett of Jeddo; brother-in-law, Bruce (Mary) Galbraith of Croswell; sisters-in-law, Linda (Stu) Kilbourn of Ft. Gratiot; Bev (Mike) Jurzysta of Jeddo and Barb (Butch) Lacey of Burtchville; brother-in-law Bob (Char) Galbraith of Croswell He was preceded in death by his father Charles W. Koob; father-in-law Joseph A. Galbraith and nephew Jerry Bready. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Barry Sheldon, Pastor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Lexington will officiate. Inurnment will be in Burtchville Township Cemetery. Visiting hours are 10 a.m. until service time Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Blue Water Hospice or the Port Huron Museum.
