Stanley Wyczawski

Stanley J. Wyczawski, age 87 of Fort Gratiot formerly of Dearborn, died Sunday, October 7, 2007 in Port Huron Hospital following a short illness. He was born on September 20, 1920 in Thorp, Wisconsin. He married the former Johanna Jeziak on December 29, 1945 in Detroit. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2002. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in China, India and Burma receiving the Bronze Star. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish, V.F.W. and the Knights of Columbus Council # 11756. He is survived by his son, Rev. Stanley A. Wyczawski of Waterford; daughter, Louise C. (Kenneth) Maes of Simpsonville, SC; grandson, Jeremy (Melodie) Maes of Greenville, SC; step-grandson, Jason (Stephanie) Maes of Kalamazoo and his brother Carl Wyczawski of New Ulm, MN. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Simeon T. Iber, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery with military honors under auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council. Visitation is 2-4 and 7 -9 p.m. Wednesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening. Memorials may be given to the Lennon Center, Dearborn, Michigan.
