Eleanor was my neice but was more like a younger sister to me. The family agreed to let me live with them week days while going to junior high school because they lived in town and I lived in the country and there was no transportation available. I wouldn't have gotten my diploma without their help. Eleanor was about 6 - 8 yrs. I've always felt very close to her and loved her very much.
I'm so glad I got to see her when I was in Port Huron last summer. I've always admired her loving ways, sweet smile and cheerful disposition.
My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Eleanor, she will be dearly missed by us all.
