Joanne I still remember stopping by your mom's while we went through our pregnancies with Scott & Mary Beth. She had such a keen sense of humor and love of life. How blessed you all have been to have her for such a long time. She left your family with so many memories to share to overshadow you sadness at her passing.
I was sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I was also fortunate enough to have had some of those fabulous pies she made. Joanne would usually bring one on special occasions that we would have. They were always a big hit, so delicious! I'm actually an expert on meatballs and gravy, ask Joanne:) Or corn on the cob. I always wondered where Joanne got her sense of humor and after reading about her Mom now I know. I know this is a difficult time for everyone and I want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless Jan defensive
What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful person. Having shared some crash courses in Grandma Nelson's lessons with the Miller and Young's boys, I have fond memories. Rest in peace. P
To Pat and Sarajane and entire family of Mrs. Nelson, we send our sincere condolences for the loss of your matriarch. She sounds like she was quite the lady with a wonderful sense of humor. Our prayers are with you.
What a wonderful obituary! Sarajane, I see where you got your great personality and love of life. And what a great life! A true celebration of 99 great years. My best to you and your family.

My thoughts, prayers and smiles are with you all with news of your loss.
Dear Nelson Family, What a great tribute to what sounds like a wonderful life. She will be missed I'm sure but is now in great company. I am interested in any ancestry information you have so that we can keep the memories near. A distant relative, Nancy Shier Johnson
As a genealogist, I have read obituaries every day for several years. I think this is one of the most beautiful, wonderfully written I've ever seen. Not only did I feel I knew Mrs. Nelson, but really wish I could have had a slice of one of those pies! My sincerest condolences for your loss, but know that your loving memories will comfort you.
