Bud Whybrew

Port Huron - Bud E. Whybrew, 89, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 in his home. He was born February 28, 1919 in Port Huron to the late Frank and Elsie Whybrew.

Bud proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Quartermaster during WWII and

was a survivor of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He worked as chief

forging engineer at Mueller Brass and helped set up the new factory in

Marysville. He also taught for many years at the Port Huron Junior

College and then St. Clair County Community College. Bud loved to garden and fish and also loved spending time with his family and especially loved children.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma R. Whybrew; daughters,

Kathie Ferguson and Kay (Jack) Quinlan; grandchildren, Michael (Krista)

Kennedy, Terry Wright, Shannon (Steve) Grant, Kevin Quinlan and Shelby

Quinlan; great grandchildren, Amber Kennedy, Faye, Elsie and Calvin

Wright and Abigayle Grant; special freinds, Don & E.J. Lawson and

Bud & Marge OBrien. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Whybrew; sister Geraldine Glabb and brother, Gerald Whybrew. Private family services have taken place. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
