Robert J. Parniske

Gratiot Robert J. Parniske, 62, died unexpectedly on Tuesday,

September 23, 2008.

He

was born April 25, 1946 in Mt. Clemens. He married Bonnie L. Odom on

February 28, 1975 in Port Huron.

Bob

worked for the St. Clair County Road Commission for 36 years,

retiring in 2007. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a

member of the American Legion Post #447, Marysville and the 40 et 8.

Bob

was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather (papa).

He

is survived by his wife Bonnie L. Parniske; daughter, Natalie (Robert

White) Parniske-White; son Thomas Parniske; grandsons, Gavin, Ashtin

and Landyn White; sisters, Bernice McCabe, Madeline (Joel) Graffley

and Lucille Mickie Parniske; brother, William (Margaret)

Parniske; sister, Judith Tiszai; sister-in-law, Lee Parniske;

brother-in-law, Larry Stevens and several nieces and nephews.

He

is preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert; sister, Jean Stevens

and brother-in-law, Steve Tiszai

A

memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Karrer-Simpson

Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher of Holy Trinity Parish

will officiate.
