Patricia Symon

Patricia L. Symon, 54, of Kimball, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 in Henry Ford Hospital - Detroit after a lengthy illness.
She was born November 3, 1959 in Port Huron. She married Mark F. Symon Sr. on September 19, 1986 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Huron.
She was a 1977 graduate of Port Huron High School and attended Baker College for 2 years. She was employed for 27 years at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and Trinity Health Care.
Patricia was an active volunteer with Silver Sticks, an avid hockey fan and enjoyed camping. She was especially fond of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Mark F. Symon Sr.; two sons, Mark F. (Amber) Symon Jr., and Gerald B. (Katlyn) Symon; step daughter, Tracy Kensley; five grandchildren, Andrea and Erin Kensley, Kaylynn Struthers, Markenzie and Kyle Symon; mother, Patricia A. Bennett; siblings, Nancy (Bob) Cooney, DoeDee (Roger) Atkinson, Richard “Bud” (Cathy) Bennett, Kathleen Bennett, Robert Bennett, Christina (Michael) Cribbs: special sisters-in-law, Pam (Del) Winchester, Shirley Symon, Jackie (Gene) Moore, Patti (Kevin) Kilbourn; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard A. Bennett, brother-in-law, Michael F. Symon, niece, Cynthia Symon, a great nephew, Koby Raymo.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfield will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday in the church.
Memorials may be made to the People’s Clinic or to the family.
