W. Bruce Murray, 83, of Port Huron Township, died Monday, May 19, 2014.
He was born May 25, 1930 in Sarnia, Ontario to the late Ray and Olive Murray. He married Velma S. Pozsgay on August 6, 1966 in Sarnia. She died June 30, 2007.
Mr. Murray was a carpenter in commercial construction and a member of the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed woodworking and watching hockey.
He is survived by a daughter, Marla (Craig) Hanes; three grandchildren; two sisters, Frances (Lloyd) King and Katherine (Harry) Rainsberry; several nieces and nephews; and close family friends, Pat Lawrence and Wendy Halladay.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be Claude and Tim Lawrence, Josh and John Halladay, Craig Hanes and Tom Smith.
