Diane L. Moss, 53, died Saturday,

January 24, 2009 in Medilodge of St. Clair.

She was born May 9, 1955 in Port

Huron and has been a life long area resident.

Diane and I met during the summer

of 1968 while roller-skating at our favorite hang out. We began

going together and continued through high school until getting

married when Diane graduated in 1973. We began our family in 1974

while residing on Fairway Dr in Fort Gratiot. We moved in 1979 to

Norman Road and Black River in the country where we built our home,

raised our family and farmed. We enjoyed walking our acreage,

hunting and our pets. Diane especially loved her Bloodhound Molly.

In 1990 we bought a home away from home in Hale, MI on Long Lake

where we enjoyed all water activities and where we planned to spend

our retirement years. Diane loved listening to oldies music

while sitting on the porch deck bathing in the sun or watching the

stars at night. Diane was a former employee of the Port Huron School

District and loved her in house kids at Port Huron Northern.

We share and hold many memories with our children, family and friends

whether on the farm or at our northern get away, forever and

throughout eternity remembering Diane mom.

She is survived by her husband,

Ronald G. Moss of Port Huron; daughter, Jody L. Moss of Clawson; son,

Ronald G. (Katie) Moss, Jr of Saranac, MI; daughter, Julie M. Moss of

Allendale; granddaughter, Ashely J. Moss; sister, Patricia (John)

Roberts of Marysville; brother, Michael (Lou Ann) Wakeham of Grant

Twp and sister Connie Nordberg of Port Huron.

Diane was preceded in death by her

parents Gerald and Elizabeth Wakeham.

Funeral services will be 11 am

Wednesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. William

N. Wingrove of Lakeshore Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Visiting hours are 2-9 pm Tuesday

and 10 to 11 am Wednesday in the funeral home.

Memorials in memory of Diane may

be given to the American Cancer Society.
