Genevieve R. Bickle, 78, died Sunday,

March 8, 2009 in Port Huron Hospital following a long illness.

She was born August 20, 1930 in Port

Huron and was a lifelong area resident. She married Wayne F. Bickle.

He died August 25, 1992.

Genevieve worked at the Sport Shop in

downtown Port Huron for several years. She loved crocheting and

sewing and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, JoAnn

Archer, Cheryl Horbes, Diane Lum, Stephen (Mary) Bickle, Darlene

Lopiccolo, Scott (Clarita) Bickle and Renee (Brian) Wahl; 20

grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; her brother, William (Gloria)

Ward and her godson, Paul Washe.

She was preceded in death by her sons,

Ray and Brian; grandchildren Michelle, Wayne, Janelle and David;

siblings, Barbara, Audrey, John and Theresa.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m.

Thursday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Joel Young will

officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9

p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home.
