Maxine M Glombowski

Maxine Marie Glombowski, 58, of Fort Gratiot, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2015, in her home with her loving family at her side.

She was born April 23, 1956 in Port Huron, the daughter of the late Jerry and Della “Arlene” Mills. She married Steve Glombowski in Port Huron.

Maxine graduated from Port Huron Central High School and attended St. Clair County Community College. She was a restaurant owner for many years and was a member of F.O.E #3702, L.O.O.M #158 and the Chippewa’s of Sarnia “AAMJIWNAANG” Band. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing softball

She is survived by her husband Steve; daughter, Shelly Glombowski; son, Jerry Glombowski and daughters, Shawna (Tim) Glombowski-Taylor and Angela Glombowski-Talbot; grandchildren, Michael Greer, Josh Greer, Kobe Glombowski, Isabella Glombowski and Bryant and Madison Glombowski; sister, Sherry (Chuck) Middleton; brother, Michael Mills and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Valerie Mills and daughter-in-law, Mechell Glombowski.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April, 1 2015 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Pastor Johnnie Johnson will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tim Taylor, Michael Greer, Josh Greer, Bryan Mills, Tyler Land and Josh Glombowski.

Memorials may be given to the wishes of the family.
