Juliane M. “Julie” LaBeau, 70, of Port Huron, died Monday August 31, 2015.
Julie was born November 10, 1944 in Port Huron to the late Milo and Mary Kimball
She was an art teacher retiring from Port Huron Northern High School. Julie was an accomplished artist and was well known in the art community. She especially enjoyed Bookbinding and quilting and was a member of the Artful Scrapbooking Club and Quilting Dreams Group.
She is survived by her daughter Sarah LaBeau Bawol; son, Michael (Sarah Jane) LaBeau ; grandchildren, Benjamin LaBeau, Jonah Bawol and Colin LaBeau; sisters Denise Dursum and Elizabeth Spiker; nieces and nephews, Heather (Jeff) Janowiak, Sarah (Tony) Howard, Bill (Deborah) Dursum and Megan (Brody) Schilling; special cousin, Phil (Marilyn) Sullivan; extended family, Ron and Clare LaBeau, Ron (Heather) LaBeau, Kevin (Susan) LaBeau and Michelle (Gus) Leicht; numerous grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins ; fiancé, Bruce Kramer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milo and Mary Kimball; step-mother, Martha Fletcher Kimball; former husband and friend, Larry F. LaBeau and her nephew, Derrick Spiker.
Visiting hours will be 2-9 p.m. Thursday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church with visiting from 10 a.m. until the service time. The Rev Jeffrey Allan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Newport.
