Valeria Skotcher

Valeria M. Skotcher, 81, died Monday,

June 8, 2009 in her home after a long illness.

She was born February 22, 1928 in

Detroit, MI. She married Edward J. Skotcher on May 12, 1951 in

Bowling Green, OH.

She owned and operated the Lakeshore

Motel for 35 years. She previously worked at Federal's Department

Store in Roseville until it closed. Val was a Past Madam President

of the Eagles #3702.

Friends that knew her will recall her

husband Ed singing songs to her all the time. She was a devoted and

loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Edward

J. Skotcher, children, Valerie A., Edward L. and Gerald J. Skotcher;

grandchildren, Joe (Tammy), Jason (Trina), Lisa, Toni and Kelly

Skotcher; great grandchildren, Bo Devroy, Tanner and Tyson Skotcher;

sisters, Rita (Sam) Allumi and Theresa (Ron) Twardy; many nieces,

nephews and friends and her dog, Her She.

She was preceded in death by her

brother, Gerald Mallon.

A memorial service will be held at a

later date.
