Harry E. Bonney, Jr, 88, passed away
Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in Port Huron Hospital following a short
illness.
He was born March 21, 1921 in Port
Huron.
Harry was a licensed journeyman
plumber with the Local 98, retiring in September 1983. He worked
for various companies including Watson Brothers and Platzer Plumbing.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII
serving in Europe. Upon returning home, he also worked for a short
time at Mueller Brass in Port Huron.
He enjoyed watching freighters and
being by the water. He also enjoyed western movies. He was a member
of Charles Hammond Post 8, American Legion and Charles. Schoor Post
#796, VFW.
Harry is survived by his daughter, Ann
Marie (Duaine) Midgley of Port Huron; grandson, Bryan (Kenda) Midgley
of Kansas; sister-in-laws, Ida Bonney of Port Huron, Jackie Bonney of
Port Huron and Donna Rock of Ft. Gratiot and several nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife,
Irene A. Bonney on August 7, 1992; brothers, Charles, Bernard,
Richard and Thomas and his sister, Sr. Marie Bonney, O.P.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m.
Saturday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Zbigniew Zomerfeld
will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Thursday and Friday at Karrrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Hospice or St. Mary Church.
