Faye Isabel Artman

Faye Isabel Artman, 85, of Port Huron, died Monday, May 2, 2016.

The third of four children, Faye was born on February 13, 1931, in Sanilac County, Delaware Township, to the late Arthur and Isabel Reiche. She married Norman John Artman on September 10, 1949, in a double wedding ceremony with her sister, Donna and Ray Roberts at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Ruth, Michigan. Faye and Norman made Port Huron their home for 65 years, until he preceded her in death on July 25, 2014.

She was a 1948 graduate of Minden City High School and loved gardening and baking.

She is survived by four children, Janet (Michael) Martindale, Diane (Earl) Creighton, Karen (Raymond) Kraus and Richard (Sherry) Artman; seven grandchildren, Daniel Martindale, Christopher Martindale, Chad (Emily) Martindale, Andria (Bobby) Rose, Renee Kraus, Carrie (Mark) Anderson and Sarah Artman; six great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Lauren Rose, Kaiden Kraus, Ashley, Jacob and Kate Anderson; and several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Donna Roberts and Patricia (Tony) Sawielski; and brother-in-law, Stanley Artman.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Boyd Reiche and brother-in-law, Raymond Roberts.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church. Reverend Salvatore Palazzolo will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday in the church.

Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery Columbarium.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
