Linda M Pettengill
Linda Marie Pettengill, 68, of Kimball, died Thursday, July 7, 2016.
She was born October 21, 1947 in Port Huron to the late Harold and Marie Wollen. She married Jack Pettengill on December 2, 1994 in Port Huron.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School and worked as an executive secretary at Port Huron Hospital. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and St. Anne Altar Society.
She enjoyed decorating and could make anything look beautiful. She loved flowers and helping people, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; her daughter, Sheri L. (Joe) White, her son, David J. (Shelley) Halifax, Jr., her son, Jack (Kim) Pettengill and her daughter, Jolene (Shawn) Furman; four grandchildren, Jon, Casey, Payton and Nash; three siblings, Penny D. (Edward) Shank, H. Ronald (Cindy) Wollen and Denise R. (Dean) Selby; her uncle, Earl (Charmayne) Roy; her aunt, Rosemary Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Mrs. Pettengill will lie in state on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Anne Altar Society.
