Harold Grambow

March 29th, 1924 to October 8th, 2016

Harold Elmer Grambow, 92, of Melvin, was welcomed into Heaven on Saturday, October 8, 2016.

The eldest of eight children, Harold was born on March 29, 1924 in Mt. Clemens to the late Elmer and Helen Grambow.

Harold married Dee Ann Kirkindall on August 29, 1948 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Richmond.

Harold faithfully loved the Lord throughout his life and taught his family to follow in God's footsteps. He was a proud dairy farmer and enjoyed life on his farm in Melvin for 56 years. Besides farming, Harold loved to hunt, fish, garden, watch and feed birds and play euchre.

Harold was dearly loved and will be missed by his wife of 68 years, Dee Ann; his daughters, Dee Ann (Larry) Henn, Eileen (Robert) Meeks, Sharon Radatz, Hannah (Kurt) Mueller, and Irene (Steve) Osswald, 24 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He is survived by his sisters, Imogene LaPoudre and Lorraine Zells and his brothers, Vern (Judy), Elmer (LuAnn) and Wayne (Vicki).

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence and Victor, his son David, grandson Eric, and son-in-law Richard.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 2-9 pm in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home, Port Huron.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 11:00 am in Emanuel Lutheran Church in Yale, with visitation one hour prior to service. The Reverend Greg Sitzman will officiate.

Burial will be in Speaker Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church or the wishes of the family.
