Karen A. Pauly
Karen Ann Pauly, 66, of Pigeon, died Monday, June 12, 2017.
She was born April 13, 1951 in Detroit to Robert and Joan Beauchamp. She married Richard J. Pauly on August 4, 1972 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair.
Karen was a graduate of St. Clair High School and Michigan State University.
She taught in the Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port School District for over 35 years, retiring in June of 2012. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially playing cards. The true joy of her life was spending time and taking care of her granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard J. Pauly; her son, Matt Pauly; daughter Rebecca A. (Eric) Biedermann; two granddaughters, Elaina M. and Olivia A. Biedermann; her mother, Joan M. Beauchamp; five siblings, David (Norma) Beauchamp, Daniel (Jill) Beauchamp, Laura (Don) Mallory, Jan (Michael) Rogensues, and Mary (Jeff) Birmingham; sister-in-law, Patricia Pauly; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert D. Beauchamp
Visitation will held on Thursday, 2 to 9 p.m in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Pauly will lie in state at St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Huron on Friday morning from 11 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 12 noon. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials be made to Forgotten Harvest, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Wounded Warriors Project.
