Gabriel Coronado Sr.

Gabriel C. Coronado, Sr., 84, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010 after a short illness.

He was born March 18, 1926 in Charlotte, Texas. He was married to Mary Chavez Coronado for 65 years. She preceded him in death on November 14, 2009.

Gabriel retired from Mueller Brass after 42 years of service. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission.

He is survived by his 7 children, Gabriel C. Coronado Jr of Port Huron, Sadie C. Olivarez of Ft. Worth TX, Nora C. (Fred) Castillo of Jeddo, Gilda A. (Tony) Castillo of Ft. Gratiot, Rudy G. (Janet) Coronado of Battle Creek, Lon Coronado of Port Huron and Happy-Lee Parmenter of Ft. Worth TX. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 am. Saturday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate.

Visiting hours will be 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Friday at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Friday.
