Nancy Ann Peters

Nancy Ann Peters, 80, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, July 15, 2017.

She was born March 20, 1937 in Port Huron to George and Lucylle Truscott. She married Francis M. “Frank” Peters on July 28, 1956 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Port Huron.

Nancy was 1955 graduate of Port Huron High School. She was employed at People’s Bank and NBD Bank, retiring in 1995.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and crafts, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; four children, Sue (Greg) Hudy, Deb (Wes) Boyne, Steve (Tammy) Peters and Marcy (Bill) Johnson; eight grandchildren, Dan Hudy, Maryanne Hudy, Tony (Anna) Whybrew, Carrie Kerswell, Courtney Peters (Jeremy Dove) , Matt (Sarah) Peters, Rachel (Jeff) McCulley and Josh (Katie) Johnson; 13 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Bill (Bev) Truscott, Sally Coughlin and George (Denise) Truscott; two brothers-in-law, Gene (Helen) Peters, Jerry (Alice) Peters; and sister-in-law, Irene (Gordon) Hayes; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Peters and brother-in-law, Jack Coughlin.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mrs. Peters will lie in state at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church until the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
