Germain M. Irons
Germain Marie Irons, 91, of Lexington, died Thursday, October 19, 2017.
She was born August 20, 1926 in Detroit, to the late Henry and Rose Glaeser. She married Earle Edward Irons on September 7, 1946 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2005.
Germain’s love of music and charity work brought her to be a twelve year manager at The Roaring 20’s Pizza and Pipes Restaurant and a seven year manager at the St. Frances X Cabrini Thrift Store, both in Ellenton, Florida. She also was a 27 year parishioner at St. Frances X Cabrini Catholic Church. Her faith, church and family were her priorities in life.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Dennis) O’Donohue, Pharr, Texas, Gary (Margaret) Irons, Fort Gratiot, and Geralynn (Michael) Willing of Lexington; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; her brother, Henry Jerome Glaeser of Clinton Township; many nieces and nephews; and especially many friends.
A Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 in St. Edward on-the-Lake Catholic Church, Lakeport, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.
Inurnment will be in St. Frances X Cabrini Memorial Garden.
