Gerald L "Bud" Borowski

Gerald Lawrence “Bud” Borowski, 89, of Port Huron Township, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017.

He was born September 5, 1928 in Port Huron to the late Albert and Molly Borowski. He married Marilyn G. Spangenberg in 1975.

Gerald served in the National Guard. He enjoyed 37 years working on the railroad. He also enjoyed living on the Black River and loved his old John Deere tractor, but most of all loved spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son, Stephen “Mike” (Bonnie) Borowski; step children, George (Carolyn) Spangenberg, Lynn Johnson and Mark (Lonna) Spangenberg; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Minnie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Borowski; grandson, Bradley Borowski; great granddaughter, Meghan; brothers, Vincent, Joseph and Raymond “John”; and sisters, Cecelia, Camilla and Agnes.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. Deacon Tim Maxwell will officiate.

Cremation will then take place with burial to follow at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
