Richard G McLellan

Richard Gilbert McLellan III, 73, of Fort Gratiot Township, died Saturday, December 23, 2017.

He was born October 7, 1944 in Port Huron to the late Richard G. Jr. and Doris McLellan. He married Virginia Wishard on January 28, 1967 in Mt. Clemens.

Richard spent his childhood in Marysville, graduating from Marysville High School in 1963. He also graduated from the University of Michigan. Richard enjoyed spending time outdoors, in the woods and on the water. He was an avid hunter, loved boating and was a member of the Power Squadron.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginger”; sons, Kevin (Marnie) McLellan and Brendon McLellan; grandchildren, Kylie and Jayden McLellan; siblings, Sue Kelley and Brian McLellan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike McLellan.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
