Lakeport Frank S. Briolat, 86, died Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Regency on the Lake.
He was born September 12, 1924 in Huron County. Frank married Orabelle M. Armstead on April 3, 1950 in Angola, IN
He worked for 39 years at C & O Railroad as a structural engineer retiring in 1984. He enjoyed working with his sons after his retirement Frank was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He volunteered with the Burtchville Fire Departments many years ago. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years, Orabelle M. Briolat; sons, Arthur F. (Elaine) and Alan D. (JoAnne) Briolat; grandchildren, Rena (Gary) Ginther, Steven (Amy) Briolat, Brenda Briolat, Alan Briolat II (fiancee' Jennifer Semrow), and Bethany Briolat; great grandchildren, Zachary, Katy, Emma, Nolan, Wyatt and Breanna; sisters, Ernestine (Lavern) Roberts, Bernadine (Kenneth) Cockin and Beverly (Paul) Goralski; sister-in-law, Mae Konesko; aunt, Alberta Klaska and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister and 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 am. Monday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Keith Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeport Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steven Briolat, Alan Briolat II, Richard Morrison, Jerry Briolat, Jerod Oster and Gary Ginther.
Visiting hours are 2-8 pm. Sunday and from 10 am. until the service time Monday.
Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, North Lakeport Wesleyan Church or Burtchville Township Fire Department.
