John Badger
John Alexander Badger, 72, of Port Huron Township, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
He was born June 21, 1946 in Detroit to the late Chalmers and Margaret Badger. He married Deborah R. Robbins on February 23, 1974 in Livonia.
John served in the United States Navy and was employed with the Chrysler Corporation, retiring after 40 years. He was a member of BPOE #343 and was Past Exalted Ruler for many years and was Past District Vice President.
He was involved with many years of service with major projects to benefit handicapped children through the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR, racing motorcycles and camping. He loved reading books and cooking on the grill for the family. He was a family man who absolutely adored his wife, daughters and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah; his three pride and joys, Renee’ (Andy) Dueweke, Dawn (Mike) Higgins, and Heather (Robert) Stein; ten grandchildren, Greg, Alesha, Daniel, Sean, Alex, Robbie, Kaelan, Reilly, Jennifer and Jonathon; his in-laws, Jack and Sharon Robbins and their children, Shannon, Jennifer and Amy; Rick and Joyce Robbins and their daughter, Britni; Annie and Ron Parmann and their children, Nathan and Nicole; Wayne Robbins and his son, Hunter. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barb; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joyce and Bob Robbins; brother-in-law, Rob; and nephew, Chad.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service and an Elks Lodge of Sorrow will be held at 10:40 a.m.
