James A Hill
July 18th, 1928 to October 30th, 2018
James A. Hill, 90, of Princeton, Indiana, passed away at River Oaks Health Campus on October 30, 2018. He was born to the late Gordon and Ethel (Scott) Hill on July 18, 1928 in Capac, Michigan.
James was a member of Dayspring Community Church of Owensville, Indiana, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #8, and a WWII Veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was later discharged from the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Ford Motor Company as a maintenance foreman.
Besides his parents, James is preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis (Anger) Hill, 3 brothers; George, Robert, and Duane Hill, and 2 sisters; Clara Bailey and Ruby Evoy.
He is survived by his children; Karen (William) Strenk of Avoca, MI, William (Nadine) Hill of Port Huron, MI, Gloria (Craig) Theisen of Paw Paw, MI, and Jeff (Lois) Hill of Princeton, IN, grandchildren; John (Kellie) Strenk, Tim (Mary) Strenk, Alan (Misty) Theisen, Kevin (Jen) Theisen, Daniella Rose Nellis, Leigh Ann Theisen, Benjamin Hill, Alexander Hill, and Liana Hill and great grandchildren; Karissa, Kyleigh, Nicholas, Brendan, and Stephanie Strenk, and Kit Theisen.
The family would like to say a special thank you to their Dayspring Community Church family because caring for Jim and Phyllis would not have been possible without their help.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home, 1720 Elk Street, Port Huron, with Pastor Scott Burr officiating and Military Honors Services will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron prior to burial. Visitation will be on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home in Port Huron.
