Port Huron- Eva A. Guenther, 90, of Port Huron, died Friday, February 4, 2011 in her home following a long illness.
She was born September 19, 1920 in Port Huron and has been a life long resident.
She loved boating, working cross word puzzles but especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for always having her dancing shoes on.
Eva is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Marshall of Port Huron; daughter, Susan LaCock of San Jose, CA; daughter, Nancy Metcalfe of Port Huron; son, Richard Wilkins of Port Huron; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and special sister-in-law, Grace Paterson of Marysville.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Jack Wilkins and John Guenther; mother, Edith Taylor; sister, Lillian Ringler and 7 other siblings.
Funeral services will be 5 pm Tuesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Chaplain Max Amstutz will officiate.
Visiting hours will be 1pm until service time on Tuesday.
Eva's family would like to thank the staff at Blue Water Hospice and Visiting Physician's for the special care of their mother and ask memorials be made accordingly.
