Michael Gossman

Michael Joseph “Goose” Gossman, 68, of Port Huron, died Monday, June 22, 2020.

He was born January 29, 1952 in Port Huron to the late Edward and Patricia Gossman. He married Linda Lou Hanselman on April 11, 1980 in St. Stephen Catholic Church.

Michael was a graduate of Port Huron Catholic High School. He worked as a firefighter for the City of Port Huron for 25 years. He also was employed by Mortimer Lumber, Sears, and First Presbyterian Church. He loved fishing, bowling and was a very outgoing person.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons, Michael Edward Gossman and Matthew Earl (Rebecca) Gossman; grandson, Owen Michael Gossman; siblings, Edward (Marie) Gossman Jr., Patrick (Joan) Gossman, David (Kim) Gossman, Katherine Young, Richard (Stephanie) Gossman, Marilyn Gossman and Jeanne Mary Gossman; aunt Nancy Farmer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A public visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, June 25, 2020 and from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Friday, June 26, 2020 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.

A private family Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.
