Della Arlene Mills
March 3rd, 1938 to September 6th, 2011
Della “Arlene” Mills, 73, of Port Huron went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
She was born March 3, 1938 in Sarnia, Ontario.
She was a proud member of Chippewas of Sarnia. She was a past member of the Assembly of God Church where she was active with the choir and then attended Crossroad Christian Center.
Arlene loved spending time with her family. She was very spiritual, loving, caring and generous. She had a great sense of humor and loved pranks. Arlene was an avid shopper, enjoyed going to the beach, cooking, was a dog lover and loved to feed birds.
She is survived by her daughters, Maxine (Steve) Glombowski and Sherry (Chuck) Middleton; son, Michael (Rachel) Mills; grandchildren, Shelly Glombowski, Jerry Glombowski, Shawna Glombowski-Taylor, Jeff Land, Ashley Mills, Bryan Mills, Sarah Mills, Madison Mills; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jessie, Tehya Land, Mike, Josh Greer, Kobe & Isabella Rose Glombowski; brothers, Ronald (Irene) Gray, Gordon Gray, Wilfred (Betty) Gray; several nieces and nephews; and her loving pet, “Odie”.
Della was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Mills and daughter, Valerie Mills.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, September 10, 2011 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Johnnie Johnson of Crossroad Christian Center will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Visiting will be 2-4 and 6-9 pm Friday and 11am until the time of service on Saturday.
Memorials in Della's name may be made to the wishes of the family.
