Dorothy R. Bergquist, 86, of Port Huron died on September 7, 2011 in Mercy Hospital.
She was born July 11, 1925 in Detroit. She married John H. Bergquist on March, 9, 1957. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1989.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Dorothy E. Bergquist of Port Huron and sisters, Joan Czarnik and Rita Jablanski both of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve & Sophie Jarinski, sister Loretta Nowicki and brothers, Irvine and Edward Jarinski.
Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, September 10, 2011 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian Cokonougher will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday September 9, 2011 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9 am until the time of service at the church on Saturday.
Memorials for Dorothy may be given to Holy Trinity Parish or The Rev. Simeons Community Service Fund.
