Thomas Glombowski
Thomas Albert Glombowski, 87, of Port Huron Township, died Sunday, October 11, 2020.
He was born March 26, 1933 in Port Huron to the late Albert and Grace Glombowski. He married Donna Jean Young on November 21, 1953 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church, Lakeport. She preceded him in death on February 3, 2018 after 64 years of marriage.
Thomas was a graduate of St. Stephen High School. He served in the United States Army as a Tank Commander during the Korean War. He was employed for over 35 years at Prestolite before his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, camping and playing cards.
He is survived by four children, Daniel (Karen) Glombowski, Diane (Ron) Goble, Christine (Greg) Brown and David (Christine) Glombowski; grandchildren, Kristy, Jason (Lauren), Kevin, Kyle, Marisa, Cynthia, Cara (Tony), Tiffany (Nick), Stephanie, Amanda, Matthew, Megan and Zoe; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brycen, Breanna, Bryant, Alexis and Charlotte; and sisters, Rosemary Shubert and Barbara (John) McGraw. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Glombowski; and a brother-in-law, Harry Shubert.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with a private family service following at 3 p.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
