Mildred Kalaf

Mildred Ann Kalaf, 83, of Port Huron, died Monday, January 18, 2021.

She was born September 8, 1937, in Port Huron to the late Mervin and Marjorie Beach. She married Joseph Kalaf on October 12, 1957, in St. Edward Catholic Church, Lakeport. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2002.

Mildred worked as a teacher’s aide for many years. She loved children and dogs. She enjoyed dancing, going to the beach, and shopping.

She is survived by three children, Alan Kalaf, (Jackie Murray), Deborah Griffin, and David (Kristine) Kalaf; five grandchildren, Tony, Jillian, Jessica, David, and Jenelle; and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021, in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.

Private funeral services will be held Friday, January 22, 2021, in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
