Sharon Falls

March 31st, 1942 to January 24th, 2021

Sharon Kay Falls, 78, entered eternal life on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

She was born March 31, 1942 to George Arthur and Kathryn Irene Appel, grew up in Lexington and graduated from Croswell-Lexington High School in 1960. She attended Port Huron Junior College and worked for Michigan Bell, and later dedicated herself for many years to homemaking and raising her children. She then returned to the workforce at Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Sharon was a dedicated mom and active in supporting her kids’ interests. She went to countless

games, track meets, plays and concerts and served as a member of the Cros-Lex Band Boosters. She also assisted the Drama Club and her friend, Jane White in the production of many plays. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed having family for holidays and decorating everything with care. She was a long-time member of St. Denis Parish, Lexington.

Sharon is survived by her children, Edward (Tamara) Falls of Gladwin, Wendy (Kenneth) Bahnick of Lewis Center, Ohio, Amy LeDee (Vincent Olshove) of Macomb and Michael (Beth)

Falls of Emmett; grandchildren, Jessica (Alex) Maday, Kristin and Ashley Falls, Noah and Alyssa Bahnick, Andre LeDee, Kathryn (John) Cuthbertson and Emma, Rachel, William and Meredith Falls; one great-grandchild, Penelope Maday; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Nancy Appel of Burtchville; two aunts, Elizabeth Rice of Burtchville and Terry Rice of Tennessee; nephew, Michael (Nicole) Appel; and grandnephew, Henry Appel. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two siblings, George Appel II and Carol Appel.

A Rite of Christian Burial will be held at Ave Maria Parish, St. Denis, Lexington on Wednesday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Donald Eppenbrock will officiate.
