Kurt G Kimball

July 30th, 1971 to May 4th, 2021

Kurt George Kimball, 49, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

Not long after his return to the States from birthplace of Kincardine, Ontario would he no sooner cross the border into dual citizenship than find a way into the hearts of many. It's this humble beginning which paves a path for someone to bring smiles for a lifetime. A gentle spirit with a bold presence, this father of two served aboard the USS Elrod (FFG-55) during the Persian Gulf War.

Having battled cancer since 2008, Kurt's warrior spirit saw to it that he would continue to laugh and joke with friends, family, and nurses along the way. It was this source of comedic tradition that carved out memories for a man who would go on to fulfill his final wishes: leave a wake of love for others to share in remembrance of the good times because the bad and ugly are meant to hold the rest on a pedestal.

May the fourth forever be with you.

He is survived by two sons; James L. Bailey and Evan G. Kimball along with 3 siblings; Erik (Melissa) Kimball, Kurstin (Eric) Hinchen, and Nissa (Kowan) Wise. He was preceded in death by father Donat G. Kimball and best friend Harry Eldridge.

Cremation has taken place with arrangements made through Karrer-Simpson funeral home.

Memorial service is postponed.

Money for gifts/flowers can be donated to the American Cancer Society in lieu of sending material condolences to the family.

Lovingly written by his family.
