Robert Archibald

Robert William Archibald, 83, of Kimball Township, died Sunday, January 16, 2022.

He was born June 24, 1938 in Port Huron to the late David and Goldie Archibald. He married Joan Todd on October 6, 1987 in Las Vegas. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2002.

Bob was the owner and operator of his own body shop for many years and was employed with Laborers’ Union Local 463 and 1075 for 50 years. He was an executive board member for Local 463. He was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed snowmobiling, gambling and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by seven children, James Todd, John Todd, Joni (Larry) Lautner, Jodi (Gary) Moss, Julie (Michael) Culter, Jackie Hendrickson and Joel Archibald; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Dennis) Barr; several nieces and nephews; many special friends, and his dog, Junior.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
