Eugene Henry “Geno” Lozano Sr., 81, of Port Huron, joined the love of his life, Joann, in heaven on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
He was born September 30, 1940 in Port Huron to the late Manuel and Blanche Lozano Sr.. He married Joann Ostrander on April 20, 1963. She preceded him in death on July 11, 2014 after 51 years of marriage.
Eugene was a graduate of Port Huron High School. He served in the U.S. Army for four years. He was employed with the Chrysler Corporation for 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed talking on C.B. Radios, driving Sand Rails and golfing. He loved going to casinos.
He is survived by his children, Buddy Lozano, Eugene “Geno” Lozano Jr., Terry (Karmin) Lozano, Joseph (Lori) Lozano, Patrick (Jennifer) Lozano and Verna Lozano (Donnie Ellis Jr.); seventeen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great great grandson; brother, Ralph “Tiny” (Shirley) Lozano; and sister, Mary (Jim) Hagle. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Manuel and Joseph Lozano; and sister, Cecelia Tucker.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Lozano Jr., Joey Heath, Jim Lynch, Manuel Lozano III, Joe Lozano and Seth Lozano. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
