John P. McGraw, III
John Patrick McGraw III, 86, of Fort Gratiot, entered eternal life on Monday, August 22, 2022.
He was born October 24, 1935 in Port Huron to the late Edith and John McGraw II. He married Barbara A. Glombowski on October 22, 1966 in St. Joseph Catholic Church.
John was a 1953 graduate of St. Stephen High School and later served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was employed with Domtar Paper Company for many years and retired in 2000. John was a very loving, kind and generous man who enjoyed classic cars and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara; two children, Stephanie (Steve) Scandalito and Timothy McGraw; and two grandchildren, Merissa and Anthony Scandalito.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church.
