Marilyn J Detary

Marilyn J. Detary, 91, of Port Huron passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022.

She was born September 1, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois. Marilyn’s family moved to Port Huron at a very young age.

Marilyn became a nurse and worked in the Intensive Care Unit for many years at Port Huron Hospital. She loved her books, garden, dog, and good movies. She always provided support and love for her family. Her family grieves her loss, but they take comfort knowing that she is in a better place.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, David and Timothy, as well as her five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen; her sister Lilian, her brother Edward.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Monday October 24, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Reverend Phil Whetstone will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
