Paul Maheu

Paul David Maheu, 59, of Port Huron, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, with his family by his side.

He was born July 2, 1963 in London, Ontario, Canada. He married Margaret C. Horan on September 25, 1993 in Port Huron.

Paul worked as a career salesman and radio personality for many years. He loved playing guitar, singing and song writing, going to Vegas and playing poker. He especially loved spending time with his family, who always came first. Paul was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. He was well read and also enjoyed cooking for his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Margaret; his children, twin daughters, Ashley (David) MacIlquham and Angelique (Chris) Berry, Curtis Genovy, Allison (Xan/Willow) Maheu and Dylan Maheu; grandson, Alexander MacIlquham; sisters, Carol (Greg) Dayman and Marianne Maheu; siblings-in-law, Deborah (Mark) Zimmer, Louann (Tom) Jobbitt, Michael Horan (Vickie Albert), Julie (Brad) Ramsey and David (Mary Jane) Horan; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Adaline. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Donna Maheu; parents-in-law, Robert and Rosemarie Horan; and sister-in-law, Roberta Duncan. Paul was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed.

A memorial event to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2023 in Fort Gratiot County Park at the North Pavilion.
